Candidates appearing for the national level entrance examination must know the counseling process of NEET PG or NEET UG admission. It has been a trend that NEET counseling has always been complex and with the merger of AIIMS and JIPMER the process is getting more complicated. Amongst this confusion medical aspirants must be seeking answers to the various questions related to the NEET 2024 counseling process. Aspirants must note that through the counseling process the authorities will grant admission to 78,748 MBBS, 26,949 BDS, 52,720 AYUSH and 525 BVSc & AH seats offered in respective colleges. Thus, it is very important that they know all the FAQs of NEET counseling and their answers. NTA will conduct NEET 2024 in the last week of May, in pen-paper mode in 155 cities across the nation. NEET is the biggest medical entrance examination in the country and the counseling process of the same is very complex and in manifolds. Thus, medical aspirants have many doubts in mind, hence here are some admission guidance for the counseling of NEET. Aspirants are advised to go through the same to solve any doubt they have regarding NEET counseling 2024 and its different aspects.

Respective state counseling authorities, DGHS will conduct counseling for 85% state quota seats (100% in case of erstwhile state of Jammu and Kashmir) and private colleges of the state.
The counseling of NEET 2024 will be conducted in online as well as offline mode. It depends on the central and state counseling authorities. NEET 2024 counseling in online mode candidates will have to participate in an online choice filling procedure. Candidates will have to report to the respective counseling venue for the counseling process.
The counseling for 15% AIQ seats are open to all and can be opted for by all candidates who qualify the national level medical entrance examination by securing NEET cutoff 2024. However, candidates belonging to the state of Jammu & Kashmir are not eligible for the 15% AIQ seats.
Medical aspirants seeking admission to medical colleges through NEET 2024 must note that 15% of ESIC seats will be filled through AIQ. Out of these seats, those which remain vacant after contribution to state quota will be kept aside for sons and daughters of Insured persons of ESI.
The authorities will conduct two rounds of counseling followed by a mop-up round for Deemed/Central/ESIC if seats remain vacant. In case there are vacant seats left after the mop-up round of NEET counseling 2024, these will be filled through a stray vacancy round. For this the authorities will send a list of candidates ten times the number of vacant seats to the respective authorities of the institutes.
There will be no reservation for SC/ST/OBC in the Deemed Universities nationwide.
The reserved seats under PwD category have been increased from 3% to 5% in the AIQ Central Universities. Medical aspirants will have to produce a Disability Certificate from one of the assessment boards of Disability. These boards have been constituted in four metro cities details of which have been given in the points that follow.
The All India Rank of a candidate is the overall rank on all India basis among qualified candidates of NEET 2024. We can also say that AIR is the combined rank of candidates who belong to reserved and open categories. Candidates must know that if they have qualified the examination, then under no circumstance will they not be given an AIR in NEET 2024 result.
The AIQ rank does not include ranks of candidates hailing from Jammu & Kashmir. This rank will be provided to candidates who are participating in the NEET counseling for AIQ seats.

If you forget your password, you will have to re-enter the details filled in by them at the time of registration that includes the answer to the security question. Candidates can opt for as many colleges and courses as many they want at the time of choice filling. The authorities have not put any restrictions or limits on it.
If a candidate wishes to register for both AIQ and Deemed University will have to pay the fee which is more in amount.
The authorities will refund the security money at the end of the counseling process. If the candidate has been allotted a seat in NEET counseling 2024 then his/her security amount is refunded to the respective institution and is adjusted with the annual fee. In case the candidate is not allotted any seat throughout the counseling process, his/her security deposit will be refunded to the bank account, details of which were given at the time of registration.
Yes, because in such a situation the seat allotted to you in round 1 will automatically get cancelled. After seat allotment result is published candidates will have to report to the college allotted in second round with a relieving letter from the college allotted in first round of counseling of NEET.
The option of free exit in the NEET counseling process is available for candidates in the first round only. On availing this option candidates will be allowed to not join the allotted college and participate in the subsequent rounds of counseling without forfeiture of security money.
The documents need to be furnished in English or Hindi language only. However, there are certain state authorities who accept certificates in English language only. For such cases it is advisable to carry English version of attested copy of original document in case it is in regional language.
